The Oaks Improvement Association is an HOA (Homeowners Association) in Streamwood, IL.  The information contained on this website is for the Resident Members of the Oaks.

NO LEASING: As of November 2020, the Oaks Rules have been updated & owners who were not previously (In Good Standing with the leasing of their unit) will not be able to lease until the provisions of the Rules have been satisfied & permission requested & approved by the Oaks.   Further; if Title transfers (thru sale or any other means) the owner must “physically occupy the unit for at least 12 consecutive months & prove such before they can petition or request to lease”.

NOTICE FOR TENANT RESIDENTS:

Thank you for living in the Oaks Improvement Association. This notice is being provided to bring clarification to common questions from our tenant residents, who are leasing from an Approved Landlord Owner:

  1. Calling the Oaks Improvement Association office or Association management.  If you are having an issue, you MUST call your Owner/Landlord ONLY.  As your relationship is only with the owner of your unit.  This mean that the Association Office & Management CANNOT assist you.  If your owner advises you to call the office or go to the office, PLEASE understand, that neither the Association or Management can communicate directly with you, we can ONLY communicate with the Titled Owner {Aka, your landlord}.

  2. Coming to the Oaks Improvement Association office or Association management. Just as with calling the office, please understand that there is nothing that we are able to do to help you. You MUST contact your owner/landlord. This also means that your landlord cannot tell you to stop by the office or advise you to setup an appointment. Scheduling an appointment can only be done by the unit owner/landlord.
  3. Parking Permits. Common reasons that can delay getting a parking pass:
    • Failure of the landlord to provide all required leasing documents.
    • Landlord is in Legal, for any reason.

We are sorry if your landlord has an issue that is delaying your registration for Parking Permits. PLEASE understand that, by law, we cannot disclose to anyone other than the owner, if there is a violation or if the account is in legal.

  1. Tenant Car towing.  It is the responsibility of the unit owner/landlord to make sure that you have a copy of the Rules and that you understand the Oaks Rules & Regulations, including on parking and parking permits. If you need to update your permits, purchase new ones, etc., this must ALL be done thru your landlord.
    • If you have parking permits, but are in violation of the parking rules, you can still be towed.
    • If you are towed, you can call the Tow Company directly, to determine why you were towed.

We hope that this brings some clarification.

Reminders on Grills, Fireworks & More

As we get ready for a long weekend, we wanted to take a moment to remind all our Oaks residents of the following:

GRILLS {any type}, fire pits, smokers, etc.: Cannot be used on any common area. Must be kept at least three {3} feet away from ANY flammable objects or surfaces. This includes fencing, trees/shrubs, siding, any building, etc.

NOISE: Please be respectful of your neighbors at all times.

FIREWORKS: Cannot be set off within backyards or any common area.

PARKING: The tow company will continue to patrol 24/7. Please be sure you are displaying current/valid parking permits, parking in your assigned spot or in an open guest spot.

COMMON AREAS: Residents CANNOT put anything out in the common area.

TRASH/DEBRIS: Please be respectful and pick up any trash or debris.

Reminder: Assessments and Violations

As the initial transition to new management is now complete, we wanted to note the following reminders to our members:

Any account that is delinquent two months or more in assessments, will be turned over to legal for collections. If you are uncertain about the status of your account, please log into your account, thru the owner portal, and review your account.

  • Any account that is delinquent two months or more in assessments, will be turned over to legal for collections. If you are uncertain about the status of your account, please log into your account, thru the owner portal, and review your account.
  • Management will be doing random violation walks and letters will begin going out, as of July 1st. All violation letters, that go out, can be viewed through your owner portal. If you have any questions, you can view a copy of the most currently adopted Rules & Regulations on the Oaks website at www.TheOaks-Streamwood.com
  • Communications from our members/homeowners, should go thru the owner portal, only, as this allows communications and requests to be tracked in a quick and effective manner. If you are contacting The Oaks or Management thru your owner portal, please do NOT also email the office or call the office, as this will slow down the team’s ability to respond timely. Also, if you submit a request through the owner portal, email, and/or phone. We will only respond back through the portal. If you have not yet logged into your account, thru the owner portal, please contact us at propertymanager@theoak-streamwood.com

Thanking you in advance, The Oaks Improvement Association

Tree down and Wind

Please be aware that the association and management have been notified of a Tree being down near Kingston and other tree limbs around the association. . Unless they are preventing ingress and egress from your property please leave the tree limbs, in the location where it has fallen or the wind has blown it. This will allow Management and Maintenance can assess any issues tomorrow after the winds have died down.

Thank you,

The Oak Management Team

Oaks Office Updates

Please remember that though the office has been open;   * that an appointment is preferred, * that a covid waiver must be signed upon entry & a face mask worn covering the mouth & nose. * That the office may be closed during what is posted as regular office hours, to allow for lawful breaks, when personnel are out in the community or conducting Oaks work, etc.  Having a pre-scheduled appt will ensure the office personnel are available to assist you when you arrive.  A gentle reminder that tenants MUST contact their Landlords, Not the Oaks Office, Oaks HOA or Oaks Management.
