Weather Reminders

INCLEMENT WEATHER REMINDERS:

• The Oaks snow contractor does not come out to plow until there is at least
a 2” accumulation of snow. There are also conditions in the contract that if 2” has accumulated but snow is still falling, how that will be addressed by the contractor. In other words – just because of 2”
has accumulated does not mean they will be plowing/shoveling immediately.
• The contractor cannot plow or shovel where cars are parked. If a
parking spot is not shoveled due to a residents vehicle being parked there neither the Association nor the Contractor has any liability.
• Our community is large and takes time to complete.
• Residents may have to do some of their own shoveling & may if they choose, spread out a deicing agent.
• Should any resident choose to apply a deicer, it MUST BE a Calcium
Chloride mix. NEVER use rock salt as this will damage the concrete/asphalt.
• Applying a de-icing agent to the Courts is an extremely costly
expenditure and is done only when conditions warrant, not upon residents request
• The Association does not apply a deicing agent to sidewalks.
